  • I struggled for over two years with my hearing devices that were fitted for the inner-ear canal, and I finally got tired of being told I wasn’t a candidate for over-the-ear molds. Everything sounded as though I was in a tunnel, and nothing sounded as I remembered when my hearing was normal. I went to Dr. Coombe, an ear doctor in Show Low, and he recommended I see Dr. Jeff Moore for a hearing test. It was a great experience, and now I’m fitted with technology that works! I have almost normal hearing, and they are so comfortable to wear — not to mention the lack of wind noise that used to drive me crazy. I’m an outdoor enthusiast, and I’m happy to say that I can enjoy my activities again. Dr. Moore is so nice to deal with.

  • I have suffered from hearing loss for as long as I can remember. It runs in my family and is a way of life for us. I am 37 years old, and from the time I was in elementary school, I had to go through annual hearing evaluations through the school district's audiology department. By the time I was a junior in high school, my hearing was so bad that I was offered hearing aids, which I declined. I was very involved in music my whole life, from playing the piano to choir, band, and full orchestra. Even my choir director was a bit surprised at my hearing loss. So I guess I was able to disguise it to a degree. It wasn’t until I was first married, working my first real job as a medical assistant, that I realized how bad my hearing loss was and how much I relied on reading lips to hear and understand what people were saying to me. But still, I was not going to rely on hearing aids!

Over 15 years later, I met Dr. Jeff Moore and his wife, Nicole, and I was talked into another hearing evaluation, which was also the first time I had received one since high school. I went in and everything was so familiar in routine until he entered my data into his computer. At this point, using classical music, he played back to me what the normal person hears and then played back what I hear. Almost half the sounds were gone! It was an eye opener for me and a very emotional experience as well. I broke down in tears realizing what I was missing all these years.

I have had hearing aids since then, and I have to say it has made a huge difference. The first two weeks were the hardest getting through the "WOW" effect. My husband was humored, but I was not. After wearing them continuously for that period of time, I was watching a movie on the TV at home and I took out the hearing aids in the middle of a song. I had the same sound transition experience happen to me as that first day in Dr. Moore’s office. I realized again how much I was missing in my hearing, and that it was very real. It has been two years, and I am so grateful I was able to swallow my pride and awaken that part of my senses. I am very pleased with the quality of service I received from a doctor who really cares. I encourage everyone to at least have an evaluation to see for themselves where they are in their hearing and how they can be helped. Don’t miss out on another beautiful song or conversation.

  • I have been hearing impaired for over 20 years. Over that period of time I have purchased and used numerous hearing aids, all of which were either unreliable, painful to wear, or caused ear infections. None of them helped me hear better! In 2008, I decided to try one more time. I went to see Dr. Jeff Moore at Audiology, Inc., and for the first time in 20 years I now have hearing aids that are comfortable and that actually help me to hear better. Amazing! Dr. Moore and his staff have been tremendously helpful by answering my questions, making needed adjustments, and doing anything necessary to ensure my satisfaction. And they do so in a very timely manner. I have already recommended Dr. Moore to friends and they have told me how grateful they are that he was able to help them. I am recommending Dr. Moore and Audiology, Inc., to you as well.

  • I went to bed for a good night’s sleep, and the next morning I couldn’t get out of bed. I had vertigo so bad it threw me off balance. I went to my medical doctors and they couldn’t figure out how to help me. The vertigo continued for six months, resulting in me needing to sleep upright! One of my doctors recommended I see Dr. Jeff Moore at Audiology, Inc. Dr. Moore thoroughly examined me and treated my condition within three appointments, and I now sleep much more comfortably and peacefully. Thank you, Dr. Moore!
